So what applications does the 6.5 Grendel have? The main application would be hunting and long range shooting. The 6.5 Grendel is a great low recoil deer hunting cartridge. The nice part of the 6.5 Grendel is that if you have an AR-15, you just need to change uppers get new new bolt and charging handle and you can start shooting. The 6.5 Grendel has more power than a standard 5.56 NATO so you can hunt more.
You can hunt deer under 350 yards, elk under 200 yards, and coyote out to 400 yards. The main things you would hunt with the 6.5 Grendel is deer, varmints, and elk if you are close. You can also shoot the 6.5 Grendel for a low price too. It is not recommended you hunt anything bigger than an elk with this cartridge. For younger shooters that don’t want a lot of recoil, this is a great cartridge for that.
If you don’t have a 6.5 Grendel, try it out. It is a fun alterative to the 5.56. It is a pretty cheap hunting carriage to shoot compared to calibers like the 243 or other low recoil hunting calibers.
